[CSI] lab 2 section 001

CSIA students who are in Section 001,

Your section meets on Monday. The upcoming monday is the labor
day. There will be no lab session.

However, the lab #2 is still officially assigned. This lab is opened
on the lab website. You are free to get started earlier.  I will
quickly introduce the lab during the lecture on Tuesday. The lab will
be due on midnight, Monday, September 13 and, for section 001 and for
this lab only. there are no 2 point penalty after 3 days. That is you
will receive full credit if you submit the lab any time before the
night of Sep 13. The lab is somewhat challenging, if you find yourself
stuck, I encourage you to see me during the office hours or go to the
tutors.

All other deadlines for all other sections remain unchanged.

To everyone. The labs are meant to be challenging. We learn when we
spend time with material. However, past some time, "spinning wheels"
is unproductive.  One good yardstick is a one hour rule. If you find
yourelf not making progress for an hour: time to see the tutors.
