Hello AOS Class:
Both Distributed Mutual Exclusion presentations (token based and permission
based) are updated on our class website. Slide 7 in the token based
presentation had a typeo on the LN and queue. In the permission based
presentation, Maekawa's algo demo is updated - process P2's requested array
did not correspond to its request set.
Also, for question 11 on the homework assignment, you should make your own
example and explain. That is, do not use the one I have presented on
slides. So you know, if you were to use an example written by somebody
else and did not site where the example is derived, this is considered
plagiarism, thus cheating. Again, you should create your own example.
Remember, homework is due at the BEGINNING of class. What happens if you
hand it in late? ZERO points. Please be on time.
Best,
Dianne
