[Database class] PHPMyAdmin

Meghan,

When importing SQL you must first select a database first.  This is
because a database system controls multiple databases, yours, your
classmates, and instructor, and many others.

If you just click on the database name on the left panel of the
phpmyadmin display,  then do the import, it would then work.
