Dilsad,

I would use the web if you want your PHP to interface to the user
with GUI.   That is the best way.  But you would have to learn about
the Web on your own and we do allow students to define their term
project with a Web user interface.

If you are interested in a non-web GUI compatible with PHP, 
you should look at uby/GTK2 for the Linux environment and
visual Basic? on Windows.  Non of these will be covered in our
class of course.
