Hello everyone,
This week, we'll be splitting up into two groups. One group will be
starting to build a REST API in Flask (this talk will span multiple weeks),
and the other group will be learning about CSS3.
If you want to follow along with the Flask talk, you need to get a couple
things installed prior to the meeting:
1. Check to see if you have Python installed (just run python in your
terminal)
2. Be sure to have Python 2.7.9 installed
<https://www.python.org/downloads/> (Flask officially recommends 2.7. If
you install 3.4, proceed at your own risk; the demonstration will be with
3.4)
3. Repeat step 1.
4. Follow the instructions under "virtualenv" here
<http://flask.pocoo.org/docs/0.10/installation/#virtualenv>
5. You should be able to run python --version and virtualenv --version in
your terminal/command prompt.
As always, come happy and hungry :)
Sincerely,
Your Favorite HacKSU Leaders
