Hey all,

*This Week*
This week we'll continue building on what we did last week (see below).
We're going to use and present a challenge: make a basic landing page for
the Fashion / Tech Hackathon. The best one will be used and go up live.

*Last Week's Details*
We're going to be taking a look at a few really cool tools for building
websites: a CSS preprocessor call Sass <http://sass-lang.com/>, an HTML
templating language called Jade <http://jade-lang.com/>, and a way to build
these languages into standard HTML/CSS with the Gulp <http://gulpjs.com/> build
system.

We'll need you to make sure you have NodeJS installed on your machine, so
go to https://nodejs.org/en/ and download it!

*OHI/O HACKATHON*
We're going to be traveling to OSU's hackathon on November 14th. Come with
us: http://hack.osu.edu/

*Apply to be a HacKSU Leader!*
Also, as most of you know, Paul will be graduating this December so we're
looking for excited hackers to become new leaders of HacKSU. For the first
time, we're going to have leadership applications. You can apply here:
http://bit.ly/hacksuleader.
Applications will close on *October 31st, 2015*.
*Applications are open to students of any major and any year. Selected
leaders should expect to start Spring of 2016 (with Robin's help). If you
have any questions about this, please email us at hacksu at cs.kent.edu
<hacksu at cs.kent.edu>.*

As always, come happy and hungry :)

Best,
HacKSU Leaders
