Hello OS Class:

I posted my handwritten notes pertaining to the semaphore synchronization
lecture on our website.  The direct link to these notes is

These notes include our discussion on Monday - readers/writers problem,
barrier synch problem, dining philosophers problem, and two versions of
semaphores.  You will need this information to complete your homework.

On Monday, we will review homework and discuss the last presentation of
chapter 5, "Process Synchronization - Condition Variables".  This
presentation is posted on our website.
