Hello Computer Architecture Class:
For problem 1, show the performance for each processor (P1, P2, and P3) in
"instructions per second." Afterwards select the processor with the best
performance. Show your work for each processor.
Recall, the processor's clock rate is given in GHz. So, processor P1 has a
3 GHz clock rate means that P1's clock rate is 3*10^9 cycles per second
(cycles/second). The CPI for processor P1 is 1.5 cycles per instruction
(cycles/instruction). When determining the performance (you will need to
figure this out), cycles will cancel and we'll be left with "instructions
per second."
